Sacrifice
Here I am again standing tall but in vain
Looking for you to fly oceans and walk the seas
To travel through life’s vastness
There you go leaving me alone
To battle black and white
A promise made for us to live
A vow broken, I weep in despair
I ask thee why this penance to depart
When you are firmly attached to my soul and beyond
Why do you seek and look for me past my broken wings?
How will I fly with my bleeding soul?
You fervently ask of me to provide love
While you are resolute not to provide
And you name it sacrifice
Forgone for other mortals of blood and kind
